At the Council of Chalcedon (AD 451):
85. Having examined what happened during the Second Council of Ephesus, it was postulated in front of the holy senate and Constantine and the secretary Veronicianus and the holy universal council with Bishops Pascasinus and Lucentius and Presbyter Bonifatius, who represented Pope Leo, and Anatolius of Constantinople, in the presence of Dioscorus and all the metropolitan bishops, that the deposition and death of Flavianus, and the deposition of the orthodox bishops who were deposed for faith, should be inquired into.
