Discussion:

Letter 37 is the only source where we find Bishop Eutropius and his episcopal see remains unknown. His connection with Braulio may suggest that his see was close to Saragossa, possibly Tarazona (PRVT 646). This Eutropius should not be confused with Eutropius, bishop of Valencia (died AD 608).

About the source:

Letter 37 was written most probably in 648 (Lynch 1938: 81; Madoz 1941: 55-56). Chindaswinth co-opted his son as a co-ruler in 649, which is also confirmed by the joint issues of coins (Collins 2004: 82).
