1. ... Our brother and fellow bishop Timotheus probably suffered persecution of a very recent, and not old date. He addressed an official letter [to us], through [our] brother and fellow bishop Esaia, and our sons, the Presbyter Nilus, and Martyrius, the deacon of the Church of Alexandria ...
