About the source:

Author: Victricius of Rouen
Title: Praising the Saints, De laude sanctorum, On the Praise of the Saints
Origin: Rouen (Gaul)
Denomination: Catholic/Nicene/Chalcedonian
"Praising the Saints" is a short sermon delivered by Victricius of Rouen when relics sent by Ambrose of Milan reached his episcopal city. Most probably, Victricius sent the revised text afterwards to Ambrose, hence it was preserved in only three copies in manuscripts containing Ambrose`s two treatises. The sermon was written after 395 – the year when the body of Nazarius, who is mentioned by Victricius as performing miracles in Milan, was discovered – and probably before the death of Ambrose in 397.
