(Hispania Epigraphica 2797)
In the name of the Lord, Nocidius presbyter in the name of Christ, left in peace on the 12th day before the Kalends of May in the first year of our lord Bishop Stephen [=20 April 589].

(trans. M. Szada)

Discussion:

Stephen was a bishop of Illiberis from 589 to 594 (PRVT 217 Stephanus), though his name is reconstructed by the editor. The inscription of Nocidius is one of the few dated with a year of the episcopate (Vives 1942: no. 177).

The lecutre of the name is also uncertain - Vives proposed that also Iocidius is possible.
