The legates of Pope Liberius, among them the Presbyter Pancratius, write to Eusebius, bishop of Vercelli. AD 355.
Domino honorificentissimo Eusebio episcopo Lucifer episcopus, Pancratius presbyter et Hilarius.
 
In the following the legates urge Eusebius, bishop of Vercelli, to participate in the council of Milan, convoked by Emperor Constantius II in AD 355.

Discussion:

The letter is also known from its first words as "Calcato capite diaboli". In it the legates of Pope Liberius, Lucifer of Cagliari, the Presbyter Pancratius, and Deacon Hilarius urged Eusebius, bishop of Vercelli, to participate in the council of Milan, convoked by Emperor Constantius II in AD 355.
